❣️City of Kurunegala❣️


                                         Kurunegala is a major city in Sri Lanka and is located in the North Western Province.The city is located at an altitude of 116 meters above sea level.Ethagala, located in the center of the city, can be described as a symbol of the identity of the city of Kurunegala.The stone is 316 meters high and is in the shape of an elephant.In that sense, many believe that this location on the rock gave rise to the name Kurunegala.Apart from this, the names Hastishailapura and Athugalpura are also used to refer to this city.

                          It is also known as one of the most beautiful and picturesque cities in the world.The main influences for this are the Buddha statue sitting on the Athugal rock and the beautiful lake circle.This Buddha statue is a Hidi idol that is worshiped by all Sri Lankans as well as the people of the world.Also, the Kurunegala Lake Circle can be identified as a place where everyone is delighted.It can often be described as a place that shapes the minds of young people.

This city of Kurunegala can be pointed out as a place where several major cities of the island come together.In addition, the Kurunegala and Muththettugala railway stations are located within the city limits connecting the Northern Railway line of Sri Lanka.
